Baked some milk-chocolate chip oatmeal cookies during my week long holiday :) Can't wait till Christmas to come along & I'l be baking non-stop

Harry Potter Cake

Hi!! So as you probably know (or maybe you don't), Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 came out yesterday on Blu-Ray and DVD and such. Anyways, in the excitement over the last Harry Potter movie coming out on DVD, I made a Harry Potter cake! It's chocolate cake with vanilla frosting, and Harry Potter on top. :)

Coffee + Lunch? Oh yes.

Hey Hungry Girls,

I feel like a terrible person for not posting in a while, but college apps and schoolwork have been crazy. Anyways, I had the opportunity to go to a coffee-themed lunch buffet (I'm not sure if I'm allowed to provide more details) for my internship and I thought it'd be nice to share some of the food there. I spent most of the day setting up for the event and sometimes interacting with the super-nice caterers.

Left to right: the fruit and coffee parfait table, grilled chicken with coffee spice rub, and the coffee-hinted salad display. They had all this food ranging from coffee butter to coffee beef sliders; all of this might sound kind of weird, but everything was delicious and wonderfully caffeinated. Wish you could've all been there!

Time zone difference is a bitch. We weren't able to skype dinner date, that's why I'm uploading some of my favourite dishes from my 18th birthday dinner.

We started with a warm & cold appetizer which was prosciutto ham & salami on melon and grilled octopus on sliced green apple (Mmm!)

First course:

Wild mushroom rissoto

& Boar meat linguine

Palette cleanser:

Lemon Sorbet

Main Course:

Lamb cuts w/ chick peas

Dessert:

Flour-less chocolate cake w/ home-made bitter marmalade

It was a delicious dinner, wish I could've shared with all of you <3 I'm just so glad we have this blog to stay in contact. Maddy this was a brilliant idea, thanks for starting it!
