Mini marble cupcakes w/ mocha icing

How are my hungry girls doing! I've missed you all.

Recently, I've been busy with school work & out-of-school activities. All these commitments are driving me crazy. That's why I've retreated back to my comfort zone, where I can bake my heart out. Just wanted to share my success with all you hungry people :)

When it was still in batter form (Mmmm :P)

Out of the oven~

Je "TIAM"

Falafel* // Pita Bread w/ Hummus // Fries w/ Saffron Aioli from Tiam Mobile

---

Don't judge a book by it's cover, the same goes for food. I know what you're thinking. GREEN BALL!? Do not be deceived by this piece of deep fried falafel* - it is delicious.

My mum & I came across this delicious little Middle Eastern vendor, Tiam, by chance. We were strolling along High Line in New York, an abandoned old railway that has been transformed into a nature paradise (a must visit for anyone!) & felt like we needed a food boost. As we came down the stairs back to ground level, Tiam was just parked there, as if waiting for us.

Following the falafel starter, there was the wheat pita bread accompanied by a beautifully presented hummus.

The french fries with Saffron oil (more like viscous sauce) was a nice sider to boot.

* falafel |fəˈläfəl| (also felafel)

a Middle Eastern dish of spiced mashed chickpeas or other pulses formed into balls or fritters and deep-fried, usually eaten with or in pita bread.

Are you all salivating at this picture? I hope you are ;) Though I have to say, eating alone (my mum excluded) just ain't the same as eating on a big ass table with yall Hungry Girls.

Well, this is my post for the day. Wish you're all well & eat, eat, EAT!

Love, Annie
